A Young Leader's Path: Sajan’s Story of Change

A Young Leader's Path: Sajan’s Story of Change

Sajan came from a poor family and belonged to a marginalized caste. When he was young, he had to leave school because his family needed help. He started working as a daily wage laborer to support them. Life was hard, but Sajan never lost hope.

One day, a team from CNL visited his village. They had a special youth leadership training program. Sajan joined the program and learned many new things. He learned about the Indian Constitution, about his rights, and how the local government works. He also learned about different career paths and how young people can work together to improve their communities.

After the training, Sajan felt inspired. He realized that knowledge could change lives, not just his own but everyone’s in the village. With this new confidence, he gathered other young people from his community and started a youth collective. This group met regularly to learn about their rights and help each other grow.

Sajan shared everything he learned during the CNL training with his group. He taught them about their rights and explained how they could use knowledge to stand up for themselves. The youth collective became stronger and more active. They began to raise awareness in their village, helping others understand the importance of education, leadership, and community participation.

Through Sajan’s leadership and the support of the CNL program, the youth in his village started to believe in themselves and their future. Together, they worked for a better, fairer community where everyone’s voice mattered. Sajan’s journey shows how one person’s courage and learning can bring hope and change to many.
